This weekend Hophaus, Rose-Hip Vital Canine® and My Dachshund Online hosted Melbourne’s first Teckelrennen. For those of you not fluent in German like I am, that translates to Running of the Wieners!
Not only did us Dachies get to show off our athletic abilities at the races, we also got to flaunt our stylish side at the costume competition.
Best of all, the event was organised to raise funds and awareness for Dachshund Rescue Australia. For more information about this pawsome charity and the amazing work they do visit www.dachshundrescueaustralia.com.au
As you can see, the crowds swarmed in to see me in my costume. Oops, I mean watch the races.
There were sausages of all sizes at the event! (Instagram @hartman)
The puparazzi were all there and I made sure to work it for the cameras.
I had lots of fun hanging out with my furiends. Here I am with my racer buddy Cooper who came overall 1st in the races, go Cooper! (Instagram @cooperthesausagedog)
Where’s Willy? (Instagram @willythemini)
My soul sausage sista, Pip. (Instagram @pippylongsausage)
Of course no event is complete without an after party! We kicked on after the race to celebrate the very handsome Arnold’s 1st birthday. (Instagram @arnold.the.sausage)
I ended this fun and exciting day with the beautiful Bella. (Instagram @bella_and_bailey_the_dachies)
Licks & sniffs,
Frankie the Lil Sausage
